Next Rehearsal 5/3 at Anne's house, and many other announcements

Hi Wrens!  Great rehearsal today.  We're ready to start singing though larger collections of the concert repertoire  at our rehearsals, because notes are getting more solid.  Please be prepared for rehearsals by practicing at home what we will be singing. 

Next Sunday, we'll be at my house at 12:30.  We'll be missing Bill (and Oliver too? though not marked on the calendar)   The following week 5/10, we are missing many singers, we'll probably have to cancel rehearsal that week.

Let's plan to rehearse the following pieces for 5/3:

• Le Chant Des Oyseaux
• Gloria
• Datemi Pace
• O Primavera (I can conduct if we don't have Oliver)
• The Blue Bird 
  

Other announcements:

Singers' concerts: 

• Handel Society is singing the glorious Elijah on Saturday  5/2 at the Hop.  Tickets available at the Hop website.  It will be wonderful, I can personally attest.
  
• Upper Valley Voices is singing concerts 5/8, 5/9, 5/10 in Strafford, Lebanon, Norwich.  I plan to attend the concert on 5/10.  Tickets on their website.
• Oliver mentioned singing opportunities with Saint James coming up, he will send a separate email with that information.

Our concerts and additional rehearsals:

• Concerts: Sunday 6/14 at 3:00 Beaver Meadow Union Chapel in Norwich (call time 2:00)  and Wednesday 6/17 (hoping for 7:00, awaiting confirmation) at First Universalist Church & Society of Barnard (call time 6:00)  
• Extra rehearsals: Wednesday 6/10 6:30 at the Barnard church (awaiting confirmation from the church) and Saturday 6/13 at 4:00 at the Beaver Meadow Chapel in Norwich (awaiting confirmation from the church)
• Wrensong Retreat: We are confirming the retreat date of Friday-Sunday Sept 18-20 in the Adirondacks.  Details to follow, naturally. This will be Christmas concert retreat prep.  

Please put these on your calendars if not already done.

Darn!  One more thing I forgot to mention.

If you have a copy of "Songs Stay Sung" (Zoe Mulford) which John S. had passed out to us some time about a year ago, please find it and bring to a rehearsal so John can get them back, he hopes to use them with a different group.

Folks,

Sorry to say, both Dan and I have colds and will miss rehearsal today. We were hoping to be well enough to come, but both voices and energy are lacking. Best to stay away, especially as some have concerts coming up soon.
