Hi everyone (including you new mailing list member),

I thought that I'd give all of your my personal thoughts of the show
Sunday night.

We got there super early to load our stuff in and chill out. We're so
used to getting places on time only to find that something has gone
terribly wrong, and then rushing to rig something ridiculous up. This
time, however, nothing went wrong, and I got to stop and sit before a
show. This never happens. Never.

Terror Firma Sky was fun and melodic. He dressed very suave and had a
cool microphone, and it was cool to hear blatant jazz influences in
the music. He was like a smooth, jazz skeleton. And I can't say that
about anyone else.

I think the show we played went very well. Gary Makovski did a great
job with the sound (not surprising, he always does), and it was nice
to be able to hear myself in the monitors. It was also nice to hear
that the audience could hear me, too. The audience being able to hear
the singer is definitely a plus :P I have to admit, though, that I
stopped listening to myself so far into the set, so I wasn't playing
attention to my singing as much. I think I was just concentrating on
having fun. You guys screamed so loud it was startling. That's cool,
though; keep it coming.

We had free CDs with a remix of "Monster in Me" on them after the
show, but we had only made ten, thinking that no one would really
care. Oh, but they did care, and grabbed them from me quicker than the
guys could tear down the equipment. People offered to pay for them,
but I honestly had none left to sell.

Agnes Wired for Sound was great, as usual. It's always a pleasure to
hear "Bloodletting," even though it's been overplayed by every goth
DJ. However, it's a pretty jazzy song, and hearing a new, metal take
on it is fun.

Stromkern is awesome live. The have so much energy, and I loved
hearing guitars over some older songs that were reliant on synths. If
you don't have their album, Light it Up, you don't know what you're
missing. It's sooooo good. *drools* They're really nice guys, too.
Those guys have so much energy. And I also have this sneaking
suspicion that they watch too much YouTube. Perhaps it was the Charlie
the Unicorn references...

Shun the non-beliver! Shuuuuun....Shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnn...nuh...

Oh yes, and sorry about the show not being all ages, everyone. We were
under the impression that it was because that's what the flyer said.
We're really sorry for the miscommunication, and we were not informed
that the show was actually an 18+ show. Hopefully we'll be able to
find some all ages venues soon. Know of any? Hit us up at
wreckc...@gmail.com

This was really long, so thanks for reading,
Kirsten

P.S. To everyone that went: thanks for all of the cheers. They keep us
going, sometimes!
