BLKSHVAL -- Value (Black-Scholes) (BLKSHVAL) in Executive Comp 1992 Format

Hi  Joost,

Hope you are not too busy these days. 

I have a quick question regarding the BLKSHVAL -- Value (Black-Scholes) (BLKSHVAL) in Executive Comp 1992 Format. Is the unit of value is dollar or thousand? I tend to think the unit would be thousand. 

Initially, I guess the unit is dollar since wrds does not provide any explanation or note for this item. For value, I guess the default is dollar. 

However, when I use Stata to generate summary statistics, for 1994 -2006 time window: it shows: 

 percentiles:        10%       25%       50%       75%       90%

                            35.466   100.821   287.167   803.341   2035.48

Then I guess the unit of blkshval would be thousand since these stock option rewards are for the largest 1500 companies' top 5 executives.
