To identify the foreign firms cross listed in U.S.

Joost and all,

What datasets and fields in WRDS can be used to identify the foreign firms cross listed in U.S.?

hi Sam,

CRSP.dsenames, field sharecode (SHRCD) -- check CRSP manual for details, but I believe 30-39 are ADRs.

Also, Compustat Company field FIC (country of incorporation) could help, although some foreign firms may only have a listing on a US exchange.

Possibly getting firms that file 20-F with the SEC would also get to cross listed firms.

Not completely sure though if this would give what you need, or that some crosslisted firms would spill through the cracks.
