Bug report: Pivot table and chart with dates on an axis cannot sort in date order

Pivot table and chart with dates on an axis cannot sort in date order. For some bizarre reason, the pivot table & chart sort in alphanumeric of the format... And then the user cannot change the format of the date to strict numeric (i.e. the Excel number format). Has the software got its data types mixed up?

WPS Sheets 11.1.0.8865 running on Linux Mint 19 Xfce 64-bit
