Hello,

Did anyone else try wpkg-gp on Windows 10 Preview?

As far as I can see it doesn't work. W10 does not pick up the GPE for
reasons unknown to me.

Is anybody fluent enough in windows internals to check why? Or does somebody have a tip where to look? Event viewer and the usual logs unfortunately don't reveal much...

Best Regards

Hi, did you try in domain policy mode or local policy mode?

Hi, again!

A little info on how this works and some references, can be found in the source code: https://code.google.com/p/wpkg-gp/source/browse/trunk/src/WpkgLGPUpdater.py

Can you also check the contents of :
Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\gpt.ini

Which should contain the following GUID

{A9B8D792-F454-11DE-BA92-FDCF56D89593}
Could it be that something here has changed between windows 8 and 10?

Probably not, because on the newest build (9926) - it works.
So it probably was just something MS disabled/bugged in the previous builds.

I'm still curious if someone else is actually testing the preview builds.
