i've removed the 
C:\Windows\system32\wpkg.xml file, but it still complains - what now?

after the reinstall > reboot > i can see that the wpkg-gp services runs, but no installation gets kicked off. what do i need check now?

if you are using ini config file, check if the password id hashed or in clear.

If hashed, try with clear password.

It worked for me.
