What happens when you create a temporary cycletrack connecting West Broadway to Downtown

I managed to get my camera out, switch it to video, and start recording this ride while cycling back from putting out signs during this summer's Ciclovia. 

I didn't want to miss this scene of a family biking together. It was early in the day. Unfortunately, I was too busy to take many photos that day, but it was a constant stream of people. 

Note that no traffic chaos was created, very few parking spots were impacted on the whole route, and people still managed to get to/leave from the many aparment buildings. Of course, the Broadway isn;t likely to see a permanently modified lane soon, so an actual cycletrack would probably be best be implemented along Mostyn, connecting to the Assiniboine Bikeway, using the existing path under the bridge for now, eventually accessible year round once they redo the Osborne Bridge.
