I need a copy of an IBM Thinkpad T23 recovery CD. I want to restore the
original factory files on a laptop I bought.

Please call me, and I will bring over a disk.

y not just format it and install clean copy of xp

restore cds have too much crap in them

The hardware partition already on the hard drive also contains Office
2003. I need the CD to start the process so I will still be able to use
Office 2003.

The recovery partition is what I am talking about - my bad. However,
the F11 option doesn't work, the IBM button (Wikipedia) doesn't work and
the file to start the process isn't anywhere on the drive. That means
recovery disk, and the used laptop didn't come with one.

Hmm, usually there is an recovery option in start\program files too

I can do brings it back to life. I don't know what the people who owned
the device were thinking, but ... .

Sounds grim. Did you manage to save the Office and OS keys (using a utility
like say... 'Magic Jellybean Keyfinder')? You might be looking at a complete
reinstall from scratch.

Thanks for the idea: I would have preferred to get a copy of a recovery
CD, but I just downloaded the license finder.

I got the serial numbers for the machine. Does anyone have XP Pro OEM
and/or Office 2003 OEM?

just download the xp sp3 oem iso file and reinstall....and don't forget
to update the drivers
