Does anyone know if there are some places in Winnipeg that replace the
keypads and housings( Bodies) of blackberry? Any recommendations for quality
work etc.
Thanks in advance.

blackberry is going under in the next year or 2...I would seriously
consider replacing it with a good android phone....don't forget to
backup your data! :)

well that's fantastic. I'm stuck with blackberry for 33 more months, unless
someone can take over my contract. because I don't have 600 bucks for an
android phone.

I think there are a lot of shops in town that would change the case on
your Blackberry. The only thing it depends how fussy you are, because
most of these guys use generic cases instead of factory ones. They're OK
but I find the factory ones have a bit better fit.

The other option is you can change it your self, I do my own. Most of
them come apart with a few small torx screws (Think it's a number 6).
You can get the screwdriver at Home Depot for $3.00 and a generic case
anywhere from 5.00 to 25.00 online.

I wouldn't follow the other guys advice if you value privacy. Blackberry
is the most secure smart phone by far, Droids are on the extreme other
end of the spectrum but that's another subject

most carriers should replace a lost or broken phone for very cheap or
even free...you should phone your carrier and tell them you think you
may have lost your phone and need to get a new one for cheap

Ya, they give you a loaner if you lose your phone. BUT, you still have to
pay pretty much full price for a new phone. Not sure if they would even go
to half the price, which is still $300.

Thank god I decided to go with a Samsung Galaxy S II android. Blackberry is
pretty much done and out of business.
