I just noticed on your bog that you are writing "programming windows 6th edition", using XAML/C#. When will this be available.

I want it

I did *not* figure out how to derive from MediaStreamSource on my own.  Back in 2009 I did a couple of blog entries on sound in Silverlight 3, and got the lowdown from a couple other blog entries, including one by Pete Brown.  The links are in here:

So that's all three options then.

The only possible explanation is that he

a) Did way too many drugs at woodstock, and finds all this stuff somehow easy
b) Is in fact an advanced alien scout sent to test the people of earth and found them lacking
c) He is in fact insane

I like the third option, he did not reasearch it, and it is now well known. Yet somehow Charles just *knows* it!

Seriously man, where did you find out how to create a new pcm stream, is that sort of thing well known, or did you have to research it, or did you just like know how to do that.

If its the latter, you are even more insane than I first thought.

Charles

If you are still listening to emails from this group, let me say I found your latest MSDN column to be a thing of absolute beauty, that is truly inspired, and I will shortly be having hours of fun messing around with that one.

The actual mechanics and timetable of the book’s release have not yet been announced and are confidential, but I suspect that a preliminary e-book edition of about 200 pages might become available in early May.

I'd prefer you call it Markup+Code 2nd Edition ;)
