Hi guys,

I am looking at idea on WPF applications, recently I am scratching my head to think about what type of WPF application I could try to build to sharpen my knowledge in WPF, and failed to find an appropriate project with reasonable size and good potential.

Does any one have any good idea? and what type of WPF applications are you guys building?

Do you guys need partner:)?

Hi Marco,

Lately I am trying a bit of Silverlight and I am think of translating AvalonControlsLibrary to SilverlightControlsLibrary.... I would definitly need help in that....

Yet if you are looking for some WPF stuff... Maybe we can team up and work on a new Version of Jasema

What do you think?

I will be working on a series of 3 articles on creating 3D panels.

You are welcome to help out on this, or I could just show you the finished code.

I have the killer app idea.

How a bout a photo album keeper and image editor that synronises and publishes web based albums for users to view.

This would need

- IO
- Databindings
- Animation
- Image editing
- Zoom/Crop etc etc
- Possibly some fancy contrrols
- Possibly some threading
- WCF

To see what I mean I did a .NET 2.0 Winfoms / ASP .NET version some time ago, you can have a look at that at by blog using this link below

http://sachabarber.net/?p=50

To do this in WPF would be cool and would have plenty of scope. Even just the image editing would be a challenge

I'm doing an online stock brokerage with WPF and Silverlight clients. It's more or less my attempt at saying "Here is .NET 3.5 in a nutshell"

LINQ, WPF, WCF, WF, Add-ins and a bunch of other cool stuff all thrown together.

Today I am writing an article on how MVC sometimes is not enough in WPF application and how one can use another design pattern (that I will discuss later with you guys) together with the MVC to achieve full flexibility....

That sounds very interesting...is it MVVM that you'll be touching on?

Well not really no... Because in my implementation the controllers ask for data and also supply data.

So basically this makes the View know only of the controller and not also of the Model.

The pattern that I was taking about will work together with the MVC to give more flexibility. The pattern is called Mediator.

Sacha, I really love the image album keeper idea, and I've thought of building this type application a  while ago,  if possible, we can wire up together for this project.

Marlon, I love your avalon control library, and I've done something before, and never made it into public, because there is no fancy controls or features in that tool lib:).

Just a quick message...

About a WPF project, some months ago, I started to work on Alambic with some friends. Alambic is a music player. You can find more information here: alambic.eclyps.info. Unfortunatelly, this project is kind of stopped right now because we don't have time to work on it. We have been actively looking for developers, but we didn't find anyone interested in joining us :-(

I'm sure a music player is an app with a great potential...

Jeremy
