Writing SimpleIoc was really interesting. Turns out it is a very popular component of mvvm light.

Good to see IOC and MVVM getting some press.

Been using WPF/Prism/Unity on my huge Manufacturing application.

My views & view model and business objects never see Unity or Prism.  

All dependencies are loaded into the Container using Attributes on concrete classes.

All views are registered with the container using Attributes also.

This is one reason I really love Prism & Unity.  Great frameworks that do their work behind the scenes, not necessary to burden view models with low level code.

Agree with Karl. Soc is the way to go. Prism is neat. Truly good the way you can mix and match
