SL4 - DependencyObjectCollection<T>

I didn't see any mention of this class anywhere but it seems new to SL4. I was wondering if anyone had any info on what this is intended to solve. One interesting thing is that it seems that it can be used to propogate an inheritance context to its children. This only seems to be used by a bindingexpression - I think to obtain its source.
