Hey guys,

Please welcome our newest Disciple, Daniel Vaughan.

Daniel is a great guy. I personnally am a follower of his work at codeproject.
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/smart/Perceptor.aspx
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/silverlight/gridcomputing.aspx
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/WpfLogging.aspx
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/silverlight/SynchronousSilverlight.aspx

Here is what Dan had to say about him

"I work in the finance industry in Geneva at a company called PebbleAge http://pebbleage.ch/ . I’m currently developing a system that marries WPF and WF with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management.
I love writing articles for CodeProject and I have a small open source project called Clog. I’m really interested in spreading the word about developing line of business apps with WPF, and exploring novel applications of WPF."

Welcome to the Disciples family Dan

SWITZERLAND RULES

When I read “Geneva”, I thought you were talking about this Geneva

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/security/aa570351.aspx

But then I saw it was the real Geneva!!

Though I must say that for a native of Lausanne, well, how do I put it… Geneva is not a place we like to spend too much time in ;)

but hey Daniel, welcome to the group!!

Hi Laurent.
Lausanne is a beautiful area. I'll have to come up and say hello some
time.
I'm not Swiss, but an Australian/British national. I've been here
since November.

Thanks for your welcome.

So Daniel, what do you think of the name MVVM?

(ducks and runs)

We spent quite a few emails (about 80 I think) talking about that in the

LOL..welcome aboard Daniel. If you geek out over this kind of stuff, you'll fit right in. Now I need to read your articles on CP. I feel so behind...not just with WPF but with Azure as well. I guess you really can't have two loves.

Welcome Daniel,

Only just read Perceptor fantastic article, very thought provoking.
I'm with Peter on that one, one of CPs very best articles.

The name is very recognizable isn’t it, and so well known these days.
It lacks the simplicity of MVC though; the Model/ViewModel terms seems
like alliteration and may be confusing to someone new to it all. But,
I think it’s here to stay. That said, how’s about the Bound Presenter
pattern. Although a tied up game show host immediately springs to
mind, so probably not the best. ;)

Yes indeed, I have a high level of geekification, and a bit of a
