I’m working on some WPF samples and I need them in both VB and C#. I know that most of you on this list don’t work with Visual Basic but I’ve run into an issue that I can’t find a solution for.
In the VB editor the Pretty Listing (auto format) has stopped working. Also the Format-Document (Ctrl-K,Ctrl-D) no longer works in VB windows. Format document works in my XAML and C# windows so I’m stumped.
Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
It is just VS2008 revolting against VB. I saw that happen before, IDE stop working, the sky gets dark and frogs rain from the sky. Nothing a good reinstall won’t fix ;)
Just kidding. I have no idea why it doesn’t work anymore. Sorry Walt ;)

Walt, never had these issues and I work in VB most of the time. (maybe the C# hamster is revolting!)
Sorry you are having issue.
Keep in mind that keyboard settings differ across keyboard language selection.
For document format, I simply add the toolbar button for the command to my toolbar.
Cheers,
kdawg
It’s not the key-bindings.
I’ve tried using the Edit > Advanced > Format Document menu
directly and still no formatting. In another related area, normally
VB auto formats a line of text when you move off the line. That is the
result of setting the Pretty Listing switch in Tools Options.
I have that option enabled but the reformatting is not working. It appears that the formatting feature has somehow been switched off, but I don’t know anywhere else to re-enable it.
