There is no low-income provision. The good news is that Seattle has a low-income provision and Seattle uses the same CRM platform as Columbus. So, Columbus will not have to reinvent the wheel.
They've lowered the permit cost for permits 1 & 2 to $25. I'm sure they think that will be low enough. I do not. There is also a $25 dollar charge for guest permits. So it'd be $50 for one permit and one guest pass. Still too much for me. I'm going to continue to press it.
The permit area has been expanded to Hamlet between 5th and the park. The was general support for that. But, we might want to wait and see how this shakes out before pressing to push east?
CBUS routes should be extended to 11th and run 24hours. There should not be a separate employee shuttle - taking public money to funnel into a private shuttle service undermines public transit. The investment for employees can also serve students, residents, visitors, and others.
There's a meeting coming up May 10 to announce the plan and it will be posted to the websitea few days before that so the time is short to get your feedback in. Do it now.
