we (three) member team want to participate in the Paramotor
Championship 2012 at spain, we have some doubts, pl clarify

(i) Can three member team participate in this Event or any restriction
of minimum / maximum number of participants.

(ii) All the three paramotor pilots are certified by the Indian Air
Force and they have the sporting license of FAI through Aero Club of
India. Is that appropriate or any other license is required?

(iii) According to the local regulations No. 1.11.4 TYPES OF TASKS :
what types of task will be there during the championship. It has
mentioned that “A catalogue of tasks (and their scoring systems) to be
implemented during the championship is attached to these local
regulations”, where can I get that?

Please guide us anything, if you feel.

Hi Madan

Answer to your questions:

i) There is a maximum of 5 aircraft per class per team.  You can add to this in each class one female-only place and one disabled-only place, so 7 aircraft per class per team is possible.  There are 4 classes (PF1, PF2, PL1 and PL2) so in fact a completely full team would be 42 people! (excluding team leaders Etc)

The reality is usually much less of course, but a team of three is absolutely fine, I expect there will be one or two national teams at WPC of just one aircraft.

ii) It sounds like your pilot and aircraft paperwork is enough.  You should also have suitable 3rd party insurance as specified in 1.5 INSURANCE section of the Local regulations http://wpc2012.microlight.es/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/LOCAL-REGULATIONS-wpc2012_nm.pdf   If you have trouble getting this in India, raise another question in this list and the organizers may be able to help you.

iii) The task catalogue is at http://wpc2012.microlight.es/?page_id=10

It will be great to see a team from India at WPC so we will of course try to help you all we can.

Hi Richard

Please can you confirm your statement above about the number of
entrants in a class per team. The local regulations document states
that each class may submit "six crews plus one all-female crew in each
class". It makes no mention of the disabled place.

Hence the British Team have been assuming that we will enter a PF1
team of 7 (able bodied) pilots, one (at least) of which will be
female. I believe we have already paid the entry fees for this number.

Please can you confirm if this is the correct number ASAP because we
expect to make our final team selection very soon.

Thanks

Barney
