Dear friends,

A virtual Official Board will be used during the Microlight and Paramotor championships:

Most information will be available to the public, but Team Leaders will need an account to register their team members and to place complaints.

Create your Team Leader account

If you are a team leader, please create our own account using the Create new account link.

Please use your full name as username so that everything you post will be clearly identified. As an example, my username is José Luis Esteban. You will see it in lots of places.
You will receive an email confirmation in minutes. To prevent this message from being eaten by the anti-spam filters, you can place ad...@marugan2012.es in your white-list. In case you don't receive anything, check your spam folders.
We will authorise the account and you will receive a second confirmation email.

Register your team members

You don't really want to queue for hours under the sun at the airfield, so you can comfortably register your team members from home once you have tour team leader account.

Log in using your username and password. Then you will be able to use the menu option Register your competitors.
Start by registering individual persons using the Persons first menu option. Please include pilots, co-pilots, assistants and yourself.
Then create all your aircraft using the Aircraft later menu option.

If you have any problem, don't hesitate to email me: aerob...@gmail.com, NOT ad...@marugan2012.es

Thank you for your co-operation and see you soon in Marugán,
José Luis Esteban

Dear Jose-Luis, please I am not sure regarding the field "Emergency" in the registration of pilots at  http://www.marugan2012.es/test/node/add/person could You explain please? Is it a contact to some relative whom organizers would contact in case of accident?

Another question - in the last bulletin, there was an information that we will need a passport photo for online registration - is there any change since I did not find any possibility to attach photo?

And last question, could you please describe the reason for email and phone in this registration, or better said not reason but the way You are going to use it and publish it - since these are not obligatory, some may be hesitant to provide such details if they dont know exactly what will happen with it.

Thank You very much for answers and also for using Drupal, which is my favourite CMS.
Kind regards
Jaroslav Kubista

You are right. I have added some additional help text to clarify this.

The picture will be used to create a badge. We could request pictures to
be attached, but it is very complicated to get all pictures in a
reasonable format from every user, so I've moved this option away from
my top priorities.

That information is available to the team leader who creates it and to
the organisers only. I have added some more help text making it clear. I
understand some pilots may refuse to provide that information and I have
no problem in that case.

This is my first personal experience with Drupal and I'll accept all
kinds of suggestions!

Thanks for these improvements...one last possibly sensitive information - date of birth - can You just suggest to whom this detail will be visible? Sorry for being such a nitpicker...

As for the drupal - dont have any suggestions, except maybe this one - as the system is quite divided by this paramotor/microlight in the URL it seems a bit strange to see these microlights here  http://www.marugan2012.es/paramotor/competitors  and as the number of entries will increase, it might be quite a mess.
Also - if you could expose (thats in the settings of the view - it makes filter available to other visitors) filter for team and class in this view, it might be quite helpfull for teamleaders - they could filter out just their pilots and see who is left for registration, if you understand, what I mean.
By the way, is it Drupal 7?

regards

Yes, I forgot to add the privacy notice in this one. Thank you for
pointing this out.

In fact this is a single site with two different URLs.
The competitor list is common for both championships. Other views behave
in a different way depending on the URL.

Good idea. It is now working.

Yup.

excellent - thanks a lot. Hopefully last question, which possibly might not be addressed to you, but anyway - regarding the photos of the competitors - I understand its not part of the online registration, but what will be the procedure at the place? Should we bring our own passport photos? On paper or digital? - thanks for answers

Dear JK,

Please bring both:

  • a digital ID photograph, for the accreditation.
  • and a paper one to have one, just in case
Thanks a lot for your feed-back.
