Fall Pull-Out

Hi all,

Hope you enjoyed your summer! The garden looked pretty good this
year, weeds were minimal, largely due to the fast growing sweet potato
vine. We've learned not to plant slower growing vinca next to
aggressive plants!

The garden will need to be pulled in the coming weeks. Our September
and October are looking pretty hectic, so we're going to schedule the
pull for Sunday, October 3 at 2pm. Last year it took about 2 hours
for three people to remove plants and irrigation. Hopefully a few
more show this year as the sweet potato vine could put up a fight!

Let me know if you can make it. We'll plan a tentative back up day
for the same time a week later on the 10th.

As usual, gloves, shovels, bags and beverages are provided - maybe
will bring some warm cider if enough people turn out!

Hello, members of the Edgewood Foundation and Conservancy planting
volunteers,

The Edgewood Foundation needs help weeding the new flower bed by the
Welcome to Edgewood sign at the Parkway exit to Greendale. Because
some of you may have saved this Sunday afternoon for the flowerbed
pull-out, (and because there is no Steeler game), we're hoping to do
it this Sunday at 2. Please respond to this e-mail if you're
interested in helping out. If another time this Sunday is more
convenient, please let me know that as well.

Because of all the wet weather (I know, I know), weeding should be easy.
