Dear comrades,

As many of you know, today is the Day of Action to Defend Public Education. Across the country, there will be protests and actions around this issue. While the Workers Party has not endorsed any specific event or coalition, this is a supportable demand and we encourage all members who have not yet committed to doing so to participate in one of the events in their area (if any).

You can find out a list of events at the following URLs: http://www.defendeducation.org/ or http://www.bailoutpeople.org/. Also, the following thread on the RevLeft discussion forum has specific information on local events that may or may not be listed on the two aforementioned websites: http://www.revleft.com/vb/march-4-national-t129351/index.html

The Party has produced master copies of a leaflet and signs to use at these events. Like the Afghanistan leaflet from last fall, this is designed to be printed double-sided on letter-size paper and cut in half, giving you two leaflets per sheet. The signs can be enlarged to fit on oversize (18x24") paper and placed on posterboard for picket signs. You can download these master copies as PDF files at the following URLs:

All members, supporters and friends of the Workers Party are welcome to use these materials, so if you know someone who's not a member but willing to help out, by all means give them all the support you can.

If you have any further questions, please contact the National Office.

Comradely,
Martin Sayles,
Chairperson, WPA
