Hi everyone,

Issue 9.1 of Rhetoric of Health and Medicine is out now! In their
introduction, “Story, Drawing, Loss, and Learning,” co-editors Kim Hensley
Owens and Fernando Sánchez explore how “the telling and sharing of stories,
whether via text, drawings, or other forms of visual-textual expression”
helps RHM scholars collaborate across disciplines to advance understanding,
practice, and communication. The pieces in this issue explore how storytelling
is a method for making sense of illness, grief, and uncertainty in RHM and
beyond.

Thank you to all contributors: Nathaniel Aron, Kayla Rhidenour, Robert L.
Mack, Kristen L. Cole, Miles C. Coleman, Aaron Beveridge, Meriel Burnett,
John R. Gallagher, J. Blake Scott, Catherine Gouge, Ann E. Fink, Elena
Kalodner-Martin, and Hua Wan.

The full issue can be found at:

Happy reading,

Annika
