The UConn-Avery Point Academic Center seeks applicants for Academic Center Manager. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities of a multidisciplinary learning center. Duties include hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of 15 to 20 undergraduate peer tutors and 2 to 3 special payroll assistant supervisors; managing the workflow of the Academic Center activities; maintaining accurate records and producing data-driven assessments detailing Academic Center activities; developing, implementing and providing programmatic support for students and faculty in coordination with the campus writing coordinator, quantitative learning coordinator, and other campus offices; coordinating research on learning center practices; and communicating and publicizing Academic Center events and services. The individual in this position will also be required to track the Academic Center’s budget.
UConn-Avery Point is a small commuter campus by Long Island sound, and the Academic Center supports students in writing, quantitative and other subjects, and general academic success. We are a supportive community and a great place to work.
