Texas Tech University seeks a Director for the Undergraduate Writing Center. The Director will coordinate with the Assistant Director to supervise writing consultants and oversee the daily operations of the center, which provides more than 3000 writing consultations each academic year. We seek a diverse pool of candidates and welcome applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in English, Education, TESOL, or related discipline. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a writing program or writing center setting in higher education. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
Salary and Appointment Information
This is a full-time, 12-month, professional staff position. Salary commensurate with qualifications. The expected start date is June 1, 2021. The UWC Director reports directly to the Managing Director of the Writing Centers of TTU.
