Subject: CFP: The Peer Review Special Issue on Linguistic Justice
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share this call for proposals for a special issue of The Peer Review focused on Enacting Linguistic Justice in / through Writing Centers. This special edition will respond to calls for writing centers to give voice to marginalized and oppressed voices on campus (Greenfield, 2019) and to become more inclusive of diverse language practices while challenging standard notions of academic writing (Krishnamurthy, Del Russo, & Mehalchick-Opal, 2022). In doing so, this issue will call on us to move beyond theorizing linguistic justice and into discussing how we are already enacting linguistic justice in our centers, on our campuses, and in our communities.
The full call can be found at this link: https://tinyurl.com/linguisticjusticetpr
300-500 word proposals should be emailed to the editors at linguistic...@gmail.com by May 1st. If you have questions as you prepare your proposal or would like to discuss ideas, please feel free to reach out to us.
The Peer Review encourages submissions from emerging and underrepresented scholars, so please share this call with your undergraduate and graduate tutors, staff, and administrators.
We look forward to reading your submissions!
