Hello, all,

I wanted to send out a final reminder that we are one week away from the submission deadline for the Undergraduate Journal of Contemporary Issues & Media at the University of Utah. If you have students whose work applies to the journal theme, please encourage them to submit! We have a strong pool of submissions already and would love to see additional contributions. I’ve included my original email below. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions!

The editors of The Undergraduate Journal of Contemporary Issues & Media at the University of Utah are pleased to share this call for papers for our Spring 2026 volume. The theme for this volume, developed by undergraduate editorial assistants at the university, is “Self-Care as Resistance: Navigating Burnout Culture.”

We encourage submissions from undergraduates writing in any genre. Please direct questions to me at rachel...@utah.edu. Submissions are due by September 1, 2025 with a publication date of May 2026. Accepted undergraduate student authors will be assigned to work with a peer editor enrolled in a technical editing class. Preparation for publication is highly collaborative and supportive. Please encourage interested students to submit.
