Good afternoon,
My name is Urmi Parekh. I am a PhD Candidate in the Composition and Cultural Rhetoric program at Syracuse University’s Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition. I am interested in understanding how instructors navigate the writing and rhetoric
classroom which functions as an in-between space where bodies with different language capacities and identities come together to learn and make meaning.
I want to invite you to be an interlocutor in my research study, titled “શિક્ષણશાસ્ત્ર પર ધ્યાન: A Meditation on Teaching Practices,” by taking a few moments to complete this
online survey (approximately 15 minutes). You will have
the option to submit your responses anonymously.
The survey link will be live for three weeks (07/16) from today’s date (06/15) and you may submit your responses at any time within this time frame.
The informed consent form appears on the opening page of the survey. I have also attached a PDF copy of the consent form to this email so you can download and save it for your records.
If you are full-time faculty, you will have the option to indicate your interest to participate in an in-depth interview (approximately 45 to 60 minutes) via Zoom. Each interview participant will receive a $15 gift card from Amazon in appreciation of your time
and energy. If you indicate interest, I will reach out to you via email to share another consent form and schedule a time for the interview.
Thank you for engaging with me and considering participation in my research study. Kindly reach out to me if you have any questions via email at
upa...@syr.edu or via phone at
857.452.4501.
Warm regards,
