Dear Colleagues,

The Towson University English Department has been approved for a 1-year, full-time, first-year writing (comp) lecturer position for the 2024-2025 academic year. The position may be of particular interest to those in the greater Baltimore/DC area. Towson University is located just short of ten miles north of Baltimore.

Information about the position can be found below and, to a greater length, on the university's employment website. The person hired will teach four sections of first-year writing each semester. Application requires creation of an account on the previously linked employment website and submission of a cover letter and CV. Seeing as this is a position for the 2024-2025 academic year, review of materials will begin Friday, July 19th.

If applying, please use the "apply online" button on the website while ignoring the incorrectly formatted "click here" text in the ad. Oh the joys of navigating across various job search requirements and interfaces.

I have shared information from the job ad below.

Best,

Matt Dowell
