The Department of Humanities & Communication seeks a tenure-track assistant professor with a Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Communication, or a related field. Applicants who are ABD and scheduled to graduate before August 2026 will also
be considered. The successful candidate must have a record of scholarly productivity that demonstrates potential to sustain high-quality research in the field of writing studies, with a specialty in writing in the disciplines/writing across the curriculum,
multilingual communication, science rhetoric, or a related field. Individuals with a research area related to aviation, engineering, or emerging technologies are particularly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will consider opportunities for collaboration
across campus and have experience in writing program administration.
