Hello, SIGDOC Community—

I'm writing on behalf of the SIGDOC Executive Committee to share the call for applications for this year's Career Advancement Research Grants (CARGs). This program is designed specifically to support the work of junior faculty and early-career scholars. Also on the website, you'll see the list of past winners. Clicking on each project name will download their successful application. We hope this transparency allows first-time proposal writers to see what we and the Board are looking for in a submission.

I strongly encourage the junior faculty and early-career scholars who just presented at last week's conference to ride the momentum and submit a proposal. The work you all are doing is so good, so valuable. We'd be honored to help support it even through a modest $1200 grant. We'll be awarding two projects again this year.
