Dear TYCA Colleagues,

We are writing to let you know that we have extended the deadline for proposals for the 2026 Two-Year College English Association Northeast (TYCA-NE) Conference to be held on October 2nd and 3rd in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Call for Proposals is attached, and the new deadline to submit is July 1st, 2026.

Our conference theme is "Meeting the Moment," bringing together two-year college educators as well as those new to the field or who would like to learn more to discuss past, present, and future moments in English Studies. We have attached the full CFP here for your review.

This year our conference will take place in Lancaster, PA at the Marriott at Penn Square, located in the city's historic downtown, full of restaurants and museums as well as the Lancaster Central Market, and a 7-minute drive to the Lancaster Amtrak station. Conference attendees will be able to book discounted hotel rooms and will enjoy two days of presentations, good food, and great conversation at our conference--and also are invited to participate in fall activities in the city, Lancaster’s first Friday art gallery events, and local farmers fairs. To find out more about Lancaster, you may go to https://www.discoverlancaster.com/.

We invite you to visit the www.tycanortheast.org website for more information about the conference. There, you will be able to submit your proposal, register for the conference, and see information regarding the current and past conferences in one location. You may also direct questions to our Regional Executive Committee (REC) email: TYCANor...@gmail.com

We are planning a wonderful conference and hope you will join us!

Warmly,
The TYCA-NE Regional Executive Committee (REC)
Jennifer Maloy and Sam McManus, Co-Chairs
