generate timeline from pages?

How hard would it be to add support for the timeline fields to pages,
and to generate a timeline from pages as well as posts? The site I'm
hoping to use this with doesn't use blog posts much.

If you can point me to the right places in the code, I should be able
to make the modifications myself, if they aren't too difficult!

I thought I had replied but I don't know where my response went.

It's really easy with the "Map Categories to Pages" plugin. It allows you to assign categories to pages just as if they were posts. Then wp timline sees them as it sees posts.

I'm just starting with Wordpress and beginning to populate my sites with pages. Here's a working example:
