AFAIK, there is currently one English WP article which concerns this
crisis. The crisis is currently centred on Fukushima Daiichi plant,
with most concern units 1 and 3. The page is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_I_nuclear_accidents
That page links to similar pages in other languages. The talk
("Discussion") page for this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_I_nuclear_accidents
is very busy and there is a natural desire to explore theories of what
is going on, such as the nature of the explosions, what is being covered
up, the best way to report radiation release figures and the likelihood
of even worse developments. Since the WP guidelines (as best I
understand them) are that such speculation has no place in the articles
or the talk pages, I suggest that this Google Groups forum:
http://groups.google.com/group/wp-japan-nuclear-crisis
be used for all this more speculative discussion. Please keep
discussion of the WP articles in their respective Talk pages. You are
welcome to this forum for everything else.
It is not essential that discussions in this forum be directly concerned
with the WP pages, but the natural result of well-informed discussion
will be to assist those who are editing the WP pages. This will include
pointing out new sources of information and discussing problems of
interpretation, translation and credibility with those sources.
Anyone can join the forum, but you will need to get a Google account
first. If you try to post to the forum (via the web page listed above
or via email) without a Google account, you will be directed to a page
where you can get an account.

The forum owner - me - Robin Whittle in Australia - has no formal
qualifications in any field whatsoever. I reserve the right to moderate
the forum as I think best. This will be limited to trying to guide
discussions and potentially to remove or discourage anything I think is
way off topic or does not foster constructive discussion. If you don't
like this, please create your own alternative forum and I will announce
it on this forum.
I want discussions to be free and wide-ranging, since this is a matter
of immense importance and there is very little detailed information
coming from official channels.
Please be polite and ensure all criticism is constructive: suggest what
would be better than whatever it is you are criticising. Please try to
avoid criticising the motivation of other people who contribute to the
forum. If you think someone is more trouble than they are worth, please
write to me directly.
