What steps will reproduce the problem?
Go to product settings, click on "set featured image". Upload an image for
the product, save/update.

Go back into the product and click on "remove featured image" link. The
image is no longer showing in the product settings, however it still shows
in the frontend.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No image should be shown if removed.

Hi James, That's a good question however I don't recall. I stumbled upon
this while testing the "set featured image" and I wanted to remove the
image afterwards to no avail.

*UPDATE* ok I think here is what is going on. If you notice in the product
settings are are two areas to set featured image. One in the sidebar and
one in the middle. So if I set the featured image in the sidebar and then
click on the remove featured image link and click save, it doesn't remove
the image that is in the product image settings in the middle. I have to
then go to product image again and click "trash" to be able to completely
remove the product image.

So I guess the question is why are there two areas to set the product image
and if removing the sidebar one would be a good idea as not to confuse
people and to eliminate the bug.

I have the issue of this. When I remove the product image, and the featured
image, it ends up showing the default blank image. Which is what I want to
get rid of. It is bothering the heck out of me. anyone know how to remove
the default featured image, if you have no product or feautured image set ?
