I recently did an ignite talk on gadgets
specifically, a 5 minute talk on gadgets for measuring stuff like
running, walking, sleeping.

Brenda,

Kool! I watched it twice. I wonder if I can use Runkeeper to track my walks. I don't run, but my main exercise these days is walking (it's cheap, requires almost no prep, and I can do it right out my door with my dog), and I would like to find out how far my walk is and what the elevation change is (I live on a step hillside), my average speed and top speed uphill and down.

I'm also interested in the Fitbit pedometer. I've had low-end pedometers, but they haven't really provided me with much.

I recently bought an Android smartphone, so in general I'm looking for interesting apps for it. Already have HanDBase on it and am planning to add Pimlical soon, and I really like the mapping/directions feature that came with it. actually you and I are linked through Latitudes, so you can see where I am (really boring -- almost always home).

All the best, Bert
