Figured this deserved it's own thread. Yesterday's post's thread seems
to've exploded, though most of us knew the general thrust of what was
coming, I think:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=9336795321&sid=1&pageNo=1

Most confusing to me was:
Q u o t e:
Increased Spell Power Buff: Focus Magic, Improved Divine Spirit,
Flametongue Totem, Totem of Wrath, Demonic Pact

The presence of two totems in a list of mutually exclusive buffs is
somewhat confusing to me, I must admit.

I'd guess ToW will be flametongue + extra stuff. Like FT will be +50
spellpower, but ToW will be +75 and +5% to crit.

The amount of QQ that will flow from this change announcement will
rival the horde pally/alliance shaman of TBC. Again, I'm excited -
but blizz has a MASSIVE balancing to follow this, and I can see the
execution getting mucked up for a while.

I wonder of Moonkin will be Wrath's Warlock in TBC. Warlocks were
underpowered in vanilla WoW, then got buffs which never really were
lessened which overcompensated. It looks like Blizz is trying to fix
the last 3 years of Moonkin lack of viability all in one fell swoop.

The big problem is they've attached a debuff to Totem of Wrath.

Bad freaking move.

If anything, the debuff should be tied to Oath, and the moonkin-esque
crit aura put on ToW.

I'm feeling pretty damned discouraged right now. This idea they have
for altering the buff/debuff model is a bit horrifying.

I'm not wild about them removing all support classes from the game in
the first place. It looks like these changes will go a long way
towards homogenizing all of the DPS classes, beating out class
diversity from the game. What's more, it looks like specialist classes
have to be removed in the process as well. Lastly, I'm not sure how
we'll be a competitive DPS spec with no threat dump.

Would someone just lie to me and tell me its going to be all ok? :)

Wind Shock

Instantly blasts the target with a gust of wind, causing no damage but lowering your threat, making the enemy less likely to attack you, and interrupts spellcasting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 2 sec sec.

8% of base mana, 20 yd range, Instant cast, 6 sec cooldown

Say hello to active threat reduction.

Things seem in a state of complete clusterfuck right now... I'm still
curious about the raid wide totems... does this mean that one resto
shaman can drop healing stream for EVERYONE? It's going to be
interesting to see how much different the final form is.
