Just to let ye know of an informal swim on Saturday in Boatstrand.
The wind has been offshore for the week, so visibility underwater should be very good. Saturday looks like a good day for an "adventure swimming tour" from Boatstrand to Dunabrattin Head and back (2K). High tide is midday, so we're aiming for gathering at 11, in the water 11:30? The tour will cover such delights as:
The Rock of Cashell,
The Hole,
The Arch,
The Bay,
The Gap,
The Cut,
The Starfish Farm,
The Cave,
The Other Cave,
The Scarey Cave,
The Blowhole of No Return,
The Strange Hotspot at the Head,
The Jellyfish Graveyard.
And all again on the way back, just in case you missed them on the outward journey.
Those feeling more adventurous can continue on and swim over and back to Kilmurrin ( an additional 2K)
Not a race, just a swim, a bit of craic and a chance to have a look around under water. No support unless you want to bring some yourself, no liability accepted. All are welcome. Its pretty cool swimming through the sea arch !
Tea and coffee provided, but bring goodies for the après swim.
Colm.

It was a cracker alright. Fantastic clarity in the water. Glad you enjoyed it.
