The American Wind Energy Association is holding its first ever Regional Wind Energy Summit in New England in Portland, Maine on September 5-6

2. Invitation to U.S. Department of Labor "Women in Sustainable Careers" Roundtable at MIT
Dear Colleagues,
You are cordially invited to participate in a U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau Roundtable Women in Sustainable Careers on Thursday morning, September 13, from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Roundtable will discuss women's participation in the clean energy and greening sectors of the economy. The Bureau will highlight sections of a new, free online resource, "Why Green Is Your Color: A Woman's Guide to a Sustainable Career",http://www.dol.gov/wb/Green_Jobs_Guide/index.htm. Government colleagues will discuss resources; successful women business owners will share personal experiences; and educators will inform us of local opportunities.
