With Katherine Dykes and Julie Arnold stepping down as co-leaders of the WoWE Boston chapter earlier this year, I volunteered to plan some events to get the group back up and running in 2012. I hope that some of you will join me in stepping up into a leadership role within the chapter, whether to plan one event or to shape and guide the chapter going forward.
Brainstorming Session (with tea and dessert) in January:
To get the ball rolling, I would like to invite anyone interested in helping to brainstorm and plan 2012 events to join me for tea and dessert in Somerville in January. Events in the Works:
- a tour of the roof-mounted wind turbines and wind energy exhibit at the Museum of Science in Boston
- a tour of the 6 MW Kingston Wind project in Kingston, MA developed by No Fossil Fuel
- if you have other ideas, please come to the January brainstorming session or email them to me

I created this WoWE Boston Google Group so that we could communicate directly with each other and plan events more easily going forward. All emails to this group will be moderated. Please invite interested new members to join this group so we can grow our chapter. You are a member of this group now because you have attended a previous WoWE Boston event. If you do not wish to be on this mailing list, there should be directions at the bottom to unsubscribe or change your preferences.

Happy New Year, WoWE Bostonians!
The brainstorming session for 2012 chapter events will be on Wednesday, January 11th from 7:30-9pm at my home in Somerville. If you would like to participate, please email me so I can send you the address.
If you have ideas for events you would like to see this year or would like to help organize an event but cannot come on the 11th, please email me.
