I was wondering if I might use this app to allow playing Wow on my Mac
using the iPhone? I have set up an ad-hoc wireless network on my
laptop and can SSH from there to the phone. Will DNS information be
forwarded?

DNS information will not be forwarder, but you should be able to play
without it. All you need to do is to add entry for
"us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" (assuming you are in US) into your /etc/
hosts file. Use "host us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" to see what
addresses are assigned to this name. This is what I got running it :
Warcraft gives the error "Unable to Connect", at which point Wow2Go
also gives an error: "Status: Could not open channel (Th" at which
point the text goes under the start button and I can't read any
further.
A "host us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" on the macbook returns nothing,
but I'm not sure if "host" will work without DNS anyway.

I was finally able to get this to work. The trick is to use Safari on
the iPhone and connect to a web site from the iPhone before running
Wow in Wow2go; evidently this makes the iPhone redirect it's
networking over the 3G connection rather than over the wi-fi
connection to the laptop.
