Hi Everyone -
Here's this week's updates and the meeting recap from Wednesday, 1/12. We had a couple new faces at the meeting and quite a few things to talk about. Here's what we covered (Annie's wonderful snacks and Dru's tasty black bean wraps not included).
CORRECTION TO MEETING OUTLINE: The 2/15/11 Coffee Night at Stauf's Coffee has been canceled.
NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, 2/16/11 @ 6PM @ Stauf's Coffee (1277 Grandview Ave., Columbus 43212)
Embroidery Requests: Please get those in! The deadline is Sunday, 1/24. We've got a few orders already, but if you'd like to get something made or have our logo stitched onto something you already own, please reply to this e-mail and let me know!
January Coffee Night: Thursday, 1/20 @ 6PM @ Scottie's Coffee and Tea House in Worthington. Suffering from PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome)? Come and enjoy some coffee and fun atmosphere with other riders who totally understand your pain.
International Motorcycle Show (I-X Center, Cleveland): Friday, 1/28-Sunday, 1/30. A few of our WOW Columbus members are traveling to IMS early on Saturday 1/30 and returning the same day. If you are interested in tagging along with them, please e-mail Rose @ ridecoo...@wow-columbus.org.
Accident Scene Management Class: Sunday, 2/6 @ MOTOHIO European Motorbikes from 9AM-4:30PM. Don't miss this opportunity to take a class that may save a life!
This intense one-day course will teach you: P.A.C.T.-Prevent further injury, Assess the situation, Contact the EMS and Treat the injured with life sustaining care using the ABCS of trauma. This Bystander Assistance Program is a one-day community education program directed toward motorcycle riders and passer-bys. The concept of the program is directed specifically toward the assessment and treatment of the injured rider as well as how to safely administer care.
This 8 hour course is $65.00, lunch included, check or money order payable to Motohio.

Awesome Chapter Donation: Medco Health Solutions of Columbus West, the former employer of our fallen WOW Columbus member Diana Thoronton, and Pam Bennett, one of Diana's closest co-workers, teamed up late last year to fundraise money for several of Diana's favorite charities and causes. In honor of her great enthusiasm and love for motorcycles, our chapter has received a $100 donation in her name. Thank you, Pam and Medco!
