Thisisn't really possible, and websites that aren't optimized for mobile devices are generally much worse for people to use. Since you're using 7.1 you should be able to control the design on mobile to mimic the look of the desktop site whilst being usable on mobile.

@Ziggy This is still not changing the font size in mobile.

I am trying to get it so that 'emma can be found' is on one line like in the desktop version. Any idea why the code is not making any change?

On the page the desktop view is perfect but switching over to mobile view it throws away the space blocks and jumbles together the images and text to display in a single column. Is there a code that exists to disable the mobile view and tablet view completely so that every format has exactly the same spacing? Essentially always forcing the desktop version to show?

I am using York template which unfortunately does not have this option. I might just have to photoshop images and text together so they don't adjust in mobile. Very icky but it seems like the only option besides leaving squarespace altogether.

The one page on my site I would like to do this is on my "Projects" page. And would like this effect on mobile and ipad (i.e. two columns on mobile. I attached screenshot of what I'd like it to look like and included blocks so you can see its many blocks together.) Now on mobile it appears as one gigantic image and the text stacked. And I do not want to use the gallery blocks to achieve this because of their style. I'm happy with the site on desktop.

I have about 30 blocks to organize on this "Projects" page but I am familiar enough with a bit of css / html that if someone can help me get started with just the code for 4 blocks (2 images, 2 text), I'm sure I can manage the rest.

In the grid of images and text on this page, I moved "thinking form" (top left) to the position it is now, and on mobile things have gotten skewed. On mobile I want the content to be a column of two. I did my best to read through the css you originally made for me, but i couldn't seem to work out what was this issue.

Hello @runel I appreciate your help very much but I can still see revolution slider on mobile? If I visit www.ir-image.si on mobile, revolution slider starts to load and get visible. On every phone I have checked. I would like to turn off revolution slider on mobile and replace it with static image - for better page speed results in google pagespeed.

Hello, I have successfully inserted revolution slider in section with classic revolution slider element. It became interactive AFTER I have unassigned revolution slider in edit screen of the page itself. When they were both on page, only TOP slider (inserted via edit screen of the page) was interactive, bottom one was visible but just like it was picture and nothing more. That is why I thought something is wrong with it when inserted that way.

But I would like to emphasize that the problem with slider inserted on edit screen of the page persisted. It was showing and loading on published page (on mobile) even if it was disabled for mobile - in settings. I have cleared cache and deactivated cache plugin but problem remained.

With me and another support, it is not showing on actual mobile. Yes it is loading but it is hidden. We only see the image on mobile. Can you share the actual device you are using when testing this issue? This way we can try to duplicate with the same mobile device. Thank you.

Yes, because I have now successfully inserted it in section that is hidden for mobile and replaced it with image. I was talking for situation before that - when it was inserted via edit screen of the page in slider settings - below masthead.

Hello. I use JiraCloud (standard plan). I need to disable access to Jira and Confluence data from mobile apps. I found the article Create a mobile app policy but unfortunately, I do not see the "Security" tab or link to create it.

Ok, I will request Org Admin for my account. It solves my second issue - a policy set. But primarily, I need to disable mobile app access at all. Is it possible and HOW? I do not see any tutorial even with Org Admin permissions...

Hi i found that, maybe you can get some sort of help. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to create mobile app policies. Verify your user account's permissions and make sure you have administrative rights or the required permissions to manage security settings. To know the more visit tagphone.

This sounds like there should be a solution for it all over the internet, but I am not sure why I cannot find it. I want to disable Horizontal scrolling on mobile devices. Basically trying to achieve this:

I suspect most everyone really wants to disable zoom/scroll in order to put together a more app-like experience; because the answers seem to contain elements of solutions for both zooming and scrolling, but nobody's really nailed either one down.

To answer OP, the only thing you seem to need to do to disable scrolling is intercept the window's scroll and touchmove events and call preventDefault and stopPropagation on the events they generate; like so

(Be wary of the advice of some to add attributes like initial-scale and width to the meta tag if you're using a canvas, because canvasses scale their contents, unlike block elements, and you'll wind up with an ugly canvas, more often than not).

I'm late to the party, but I'm adding this answer because none of the other things I tried worked in my specific situation. No combination of capturing touchmove, scroll etc events had any effect, and position: relative on body made everything disappear.

I found that I had to add height: 100% on the HTML and BODY elements. It's possible that not all of the following rules are required, but it took me long enough to stumble upon this magic combination and it appears to work.

My app made heavy use of absolutely position elements, some of which were partially off-screen at different times as they slid out of view. As a result, the body element had no content in it to give the body any area/size.

I found that the "scrolling" that was happening on mobile devices was a result of the browser not knowing the extent of the page's size in order to do its viewport (scaling to device-width) calculation. It seems that the body having 0px height was failing to convey to the browser either the height or width of the page, so setting the height of body to 100% was key in the solution.

I have a problem with my website, i don' would like have automaticly the mobile view. I would like disable the mobile version of my web site. How can i do that? Can you help me? It's a really big problem for me.

@bobafett - That's true. I am aware of that fact but since @happydream didn't offer any specific details, I gave a general response. However, if anyone is using a theme that has the checkbox then it shows them where to look.

If you do not see the checkbox to disable the mobile version of your site. That means you are using one of our responsive themes. This type of theme resizes automatically to the size of the screen the site is being viewed on. Whether that be a mobile phone, tablet, computer monitor or a television. For that reason, there isn't a mobile version to disable. It is only resizing.

If you do have the option to disable the mobile version. That means you are using an adaptive theme. With these themes, our system generates the mobile version automatically. It is basically an emulation of your main site just in a smaller form.

You can also tell what type of theme you are using, by clicking the mobile icon that resides at the top of your editor. You will either have mobile options or it will say, you are using a responsive theme.

Thanks for this information. Apparently I have a theme that is not optimized for mobile. I do not want to change my theme, but the mobile resizing throws everything out of alignment. Is there any way to disable the resizing?

Perhaps you could explore the Theme Gallery and preview the responsive themes, see if there's anything there you like after all? The only thing you'd need to do is re-upload your header images (which is true any time you change to a new theme), but your content will remain.

I have this issue as well. On mobile view, my logo covers half of my homepage portfolio images. Considering most people look at things on their phone nowadays...I'm really struggling with how to deal with this.

Mine is a responsive theme and it doesnt just resize the images, it takes them all out of order. I would much rather just hav ethe desktop version on the mobile divices. I worked hard t make my website look the way I want it and then I switch to mobile and its all different and really ugly! is the responsive thing not working correctly?
