Offer subject to change. Receive Netflix Standard with ads while you maintain 1 qualifying Go5G Next, Go5G Plus or Magenta Max line or 2+ Go5G or Magenta lines in good standing. Netflix account, plan availability & compatible device required. Alternative discount toward different Netflix streaming plans may apply. Not redeemable or refundable for cash; cannot be exchanged for Netflix gift subscriptions. Cancel Netflix anytime. Netflix Terms of Use apply: www.netflix.com/termsofuse. 1 offer per T-Mobile account; for existing Netflix members it may take 1-2 bill cycles during which time you will continue to be charged separately for any existing Netflix account. If you link an existing Netflix account to this offer, terminating the qualifying line(s) will not automatically cancel your Netflix membership, and Netflix will automatically resume charging your existing payment method that they have on file. Like all plans, features may change or be discontinued at any time; see T-Mobile Terms and Conditions at T-Mobile.com for details.

With Netflix Standard with ads you can watch on up to two devices within a household at the same time. You can upgrade to Netflix Premium and watch on up to four devices in the same household at the same time for the discounted rate of $16, through your T-Mobile bill. Visit this page to upgrade now.

Log into My.T-mobile, select Account, and then select Manage add-ons. On the Manage data and add-ons page, add Netflix in the Services section. T-Mobile pays Netflix directly for you. For customers with an existing Netflix account, it may take one or two Netflix billing cycles for your billing to transfer to T-Mobile.

We're glad you are here so we can best assist you. To use casting, the supported app must be installed on your mobile device and Roku TV. You must also connect your phone or tablet to the same wireless network as your Roku device. You can do this wirelessly with supported apps like YouTube and Netflix by opening the casting icon on the mobile device on your phone or tablet and selecting your Roku device.

I have never been able to use Android's native cast (Cast Connect) to cast through my Roku devices. Some of my previous Android phones were able to use Google Cast to cast some content (ie. Youtube, Netflix, etc-- that symbol that allowed user to cast to TV from within the opened app.)

I just use third party casting apps now when needing to cast content from my Android mobile devices to the Roku device. My personal preference is Web Video Caster (WVC), but others like Castify and Tubio work fine also.

With all the above, you install the app on your mobile device or phone (all can be found in the Play Store), and then you install a companion receiver on your Roku device. (all found in the Roku Channel Store).

The apps mentioned above are free (with ads on phone), and all offer paid features also. WVC is a one-time purchase of $3 or $4 for an ad-free full featured lifetime use, but the free version works perfectly fine. (a few additional features with the paid version).

Is there a way to cast from my mobile device to my Roku tv using Androids screen cast feature or if I'm in a mobile app for which an equivalent app is unavailable on Roku tv? I've been able to do these functions on my Android TV.

You can of course cast to your Roku TV what you are already watching on your mobile device. To use casting, the supported app must be installed on both your mobile device and your Roku streaming device. You must also make sure to connect your phone or tablet to the same wireless network as your Roku device.

You can do this wirelessly with supported apps like YouTube and Netflix by opening the casting icon on a mobile device on your phone or tablet and selecting your Roku device. The channel will launch automatically on your Roku device and playback will begin.

If you are unable to cast Netflix from your phone to your Roku TV even though you have downloaded the Netflix app on both devices and they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, there are a few things you can try:

Note: The Screen Cast icon may be located in different locations depending on your Android phone model and version of Android. If you can't find it in the Quick Settings panel, try searching for it in the Settings app. Additionally, not all Android phones support screen casting, so make sure your device is compatible before attempting to cast.

I am designing a Netflix Application for BlackBerry mobile devices. I am currently working on the OAuth. I am at the point where I can generate a Netflix login page in an embedded browser field in my application.

After the user signs in, Netflix will send the user from the login page to a specified callback url. The callback url will also contain an authorized token, which is then needed to send back to Netflix.

My question is: How am I supposed to do this on a mobile device? Is there a procedure set in place? I am unsure how I can extract the authorized token from the callback URL and send it back to my application. From my research, it does not appear that Netflix will provide a PIN/verifier for the user to then type into the application...

There are two ways to deal with callbacks on mobile devices. The first is to set the value of oauth_callback to 'oob'. This is done if your device is unable to receive callbacks. See the OAuth spec, section 2.1:

The second way, if your device supports it, is to use a custom URI scheme. I know that on iPhones, you can register a callback with a custom scheme that is assigned to your application. Is there a way to do this on a BlackBerry? If so, I'd use this approach as it's a much better user experience.

Instead of embedding browserfield, you may be better off creating a seamless (i.e. browserless) user experience by simply letting the mobile app do all the necessary handshaking with netflix. You'll need to set up a public domain server as your callback host for OAuth and have that negotiate your new session key/secret key and pass it back to your device. All the while, the device will need to maintain an open http connection to your public server in order to finally receive the credentials and proceed to request the user data directly from netflix. The whole round trip should not take more than roughly 15 seconds so HTTP timeouts should not be an issue. You'll need to first study(i.e. "screen scrape") the netflix login html page to extract the necessary/relevant html form param names etc. Good luck.

Netflix still works absolutely fine on devices with a direct wired connection to the modem (i.e. my desktop computer) and Netflix stills works fine on devices with a WiFi connection to the modem (2 mobiles phones, a Microsoft Surface tablet).
However on a Sony Android television, a Sony UHD BluRay player, and an Oppo BluRay player, Netflix now gives error NW-2-5 when these devices are connected through the Netgear GS108 switch. (All their other network functions and diagnostics appear to be fine).
If connect the television or either disc player directly to the cable modem, bypassing the GS108 switch, Netflix works fine again.

I'm baffled as to why the Netgear switch has stopped working with Netflix, anyone have any suggestions? (I don't think it has anything that can be configured!)
I have tried switching everything off and back on again, of course

> [...] any devices that are connected to my cable modem [...]

Not a very detailed description of anything. What is your "my cable
modem"? Is it a modem, or a modem+router?

> [...] when these devices are connected through the Netgear GS108
> switch. [...]

"when these devices are connected" _to_ _what_ "through the Netgear
GS108 switch"?

What, exactly, is connected to what, exactly? (Hint: If a device has
multiple Ethernet ports, then "connected to device" is not enough
detail.)

If your (unspecified) "my cable modem" is a modem (not a
modem+router), then you can expect trouble if you connect multiple
devices to it through a network switch. Your (unspecified) cable-TV ISP
service probably allows you one public IP address, which will be granted
to the first of your gizmos which they see. After that, there'll be a
fight over that one address, leaving all but one device unsatisfied.

If your (unspecified) "my cable modem" is a modem+router, then you
should be able to connect many devices to it through a network switch.

> I have tried switching everything off and back on again, [...]

Swell. What _is_ "everything"?

Yeah, but everything worked fine for months until last week. (Which suggests either my ISP pushed out some firmware or config change, I guess, or Netflix changed something at their end...) On the admin dashboard page for the modem, I can see all four devices have been assigned a unique IPv4 address by DHCP.

But also: the ZTE modem, the Netgear GS108 switch, a NAS, my desktop PC, two mobile phones, a Kindle, a television, two BluRay players and a home cinema amp. All of which, when powered back up in a sensible order, appeared to obtain connectivity fine, except that Netflix wouldn't work on the ones going through the GS108 switch.
