Good morning, my Dearest Sisters and Brothers!

 

As we say we are sisters and brothers in Christ, we should share the housework of our big family.

 

It won't be a harsh or dirty job. Mostly the boys will disassemble the old furniture and then remove to the skip bin in car park, and girls will just tidy up the rooms. (Probablely we will have some challenge this year. But I think we will be alright, as a team.)

 

We will work with some other sisters and brothers from English and Cantonese congregations. That would be more fun than you can expect.

 

I will confirm with you guys this Sunday. This can be your first step to serve our Lord.

Dear all brothers and sisters (deacons, pastors, church council members, steering committee reps, fellowship convenors/coordinators),

 

Further to Jane's email below, we have now come up with a master list of tasks for the CBC Clean Up Day 2014. Please refer to the attached spreadsheet for your reference. A list of required materials is also included in the spreadsheet.

 

My estimate is we will need at least 20+ man/woman power. The task is quite long and ambitious. For example, we aim to clean all the wall fans (you may notice how dark all their covers and blades are...). Each fan can easily take 20-30 minutes to clean.

 

If we have more people, we should be able to finish all the tasks quicker and hopefully do a better job. 

 

Please kindly encourage brothers and sisters (and yourself) to join the crew and clean up CBC together. Helpers please arrive by 10.30am. The aim is to finish everything by 1.30pm (hopefully before that!) and enjoy lunch and a free afternoon. :)

 

Please kindly let me and Jane know the names and number of helpers from your group/circle at your earliest convenience.

 

If you can help lending or bringing required materials for the jobs, please let Jane and me know by this Saturday (8/2).

In consultation with Ronald Lai (Property Committee Chairman), it has been decided that the church will hold a church-wide Clean-Up Day on Saturday 15 February.

 

The purpose of this email is to inform you of this in the hope that you, as well as members in your ministry area, may be able to come and lend a hand on the day.

 

Just to give you some idea of the jobs which need to be done:

·         Weeding in the car park

·         Throw out furniture from Jarvis Centre Level 1

·         Clean graffiti off the church front wall and porch

·         Throw out furniture stored in the dungeon

·         Clean fans in the sanctuary and in rooms

·         Clean out items from the choir room and flower room.

·         Clean out rubbish from the alley way outside the Old Vestry & outside ladies' toilet & from the roof of the outside men's toilet.

 

Promotion about this event will be put in the church bulletin starting Sunday 19 January.
