macOS Ventura (version 13) is the nineteenth major release of macOS, Apple's operating system for Macintosh computers. The successor to macOS Monterey, it was announced at WWDC 2022 on June 6, 2022, and launched on October 24, 2022.[4] macOS Ventura is succeeded by macOS Sonoma, which was released on September 26, 2023.

With the release of macOS Sonoma in September 2023, macOS Ventura is no longer the most recent major version of Apple's Mac operating system. While Apple may continue to release minor security updates to Ventura for Macs such as the 2017 MacBook Pro, iMac, and 12-inch MacBook that are not compatible with Sonoma, the roundup below is no longer being updated.

Introduced at WWDC 2022, macOS Ventura is the current version of macOS, the operating system that runs on the Mac. macOS Ventura is a significant update that introduces a new multitasking experience, overhauls multiple apps, and adds updated capabilities across the platform.

Thank you for contacting Western Digital Technical Support. Thank you for the additional information. At this time, we unfortunately do not have a work around for why the computer would be rebooting when the drives are connected. We would recommend rolling back your operating system to macOS 12 Monterey for the time being.

imciil. As soon as my MacBook upgraded to Ventura operating system I lost Print Studio Pro. Then re-installed and it seemed to work as the image to be printed opened inPSP. However I then got the "memory insufficient" message on my CanonPro 100S. Solution wss found on Community site which was to download PSP from the Europe site (a link was shown but I can't find it now). I did just that on 3rd May 2023 and it all worked perfectly . Used PSP yesterday and it still working. suggest yo all hunt for the Canon Europe site.

Since 2013, Mac operating systems have been named after iconic California locations, starting with Mavericks, a big-wave surf spot in Northern California, according to Apple's website. Before that, operating systems were named after big cats.

Over the years at the same time as Apple has updated the Mac operating system it has also made changes to various apps that ship with the Mac, and we can expect more this year. Several new features are coming to Safari and Mail along with updates to Weather, the Clock, new accessibility tools (such as Live Captions).

Thanks for the response Dave, i appreciate it. However, if anyone has actually tried running 1password 6 on ventura i'd still like to hear from you. I really don't need any other features from my password manager than was offered in this version and I'm not a fan of subscription models, so if it's not working, I'll either hold off upgrading mac OS or look for a different solution.

I do think the 1password team should just test older versions at a basic level on new operating systems, I know it's not supported anymore and they are obviously encouraging people to upgrade, but I'm sure it wouldn't take long to simply see if the programme runs to support the users who have supported the brand for years.

HeadRush is happy to announce that all of our USB-enabled products are considered supported for use with the macOS 13 Ventura operating system, as well as Apple Silicon processor-based computers.

Since installing MacOs Ventura, I've had nothing but problems with file sharing between my Macs as well. I've never had a problem with file sharing between Macs on any previous operating system. It worked just fine on Monterey. Now We're on MacOs Ventura 13.2 and the problem still persists. I've called Apple Support about this and they don't seem to have an answer yet. I just hope it gets fixed soon. File sharing over your network is a basic function that has been in MacOs forever.

ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of network, storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments for over 34 years, announced its hardware and software fully support the latest operating system from Apple, macOS 13 Ventura.

Please be sure to check that your operating system is not enabled to update itself automatically. While this can be a useful feature for some, anyone that relies on the stability of their software and hardware tools should prefer control over which base operating system is installed on their system. Automatic updates will not account for software compatibility before updating which could lead to problems with stability and other functionality if your gear is not ready for the changes in the operating system.

Many of our products are dependent on software for all functionality and control while the device is connected to a computer. Our products may be considered "supported" for an operating system, but will not be functional until software support is also available. So, It is crucial that you weigh software compatibility before choosing to update your system.

Students and exam-takers downloading the test-taking software, Examplify, should review these Minimum System Requirements (MSRs) to ensure their devices are supported. Examplify works with most modern computers, both Mac and Windows operating systems. To keep Examplify current in the rapidly evolving market, when new technology is introduced, Examplify works hard to timely implement updates that accommodate changes in technologies. It is not always possible, however, to support all hardware or software, unless and until we test and certify updated technologies, including chipsets and operating systems.

Wise to look ahead but many do not and blindly update apps and operating systems. Act in haste to repent in leisure. RM7 in the wrapper was fairly functional and certainly a better way to go than virtualization which is very demanding, unstable and exposes the mac to all that windows malware nonsense.

It is unclear why these operating systems seemingly remain unpatched. Perhaps the vulnerability does not exist on these operating systems, or perhaps it exists but Apple does not believe it is exploitable. Or perhaps the issue was addressed but Apple just neglected to mention it. Alternatively, perhaps these operating systems remain vulnerable. Any of these scenarios is plausible.

If you decide to upgrade, ensure you backup your computer before installation in order to prevent data loss in the event of a corrupt installation or if you find you need to revert to a previous version of the operating system due to incompatibility. See the IT FAQ Backup Services pages for more information.

I just got an M2 pro mac mini that shipped with OS ventura. I went to install HX Edit for my stomp, and I got a popup that said I need to install Rosetta. I did not proceed with the installation. So, from what I have read above it is not necessary to install rosetta to run hx edit and native on mac silicon with OS ventura?

Will Quicken 2016 run on Ventura? It's running fine on Monterey, but probably need to upgrade the operating system to Ventura at some point. I don't need or want all of the newest features of Quicken.

Is it really true that Malwarebytes does not work for Ventura 13.0, which I just installed?? Got the message to activate, but fail to do so. The instructions shown also includes incorrect images, probably from the previous operating system!!!! Please fix a clear instruction to use asap! (I live in Sweden)

We are working to ensure that our other apps run natively on macOS 13 Ventura, but don't have release dates for all our apps yet. We'll update this document when more details are available. We recommend that you run your Adobe apps only in operating systems and hardware platforms as noted in the system requirements for your apps.
