The Google Pixel 6 comes loaded with awesome wallpapers in different styles. We have multiple batches for you, but the first ones have more muted colors. Google continues to make really interesting and fun Pixel wallpapers that we know many of you will enjoy, and these are definitely proof of that.
I dont have a pixel so I cant guide you exactly, but i hope there is an option in the settings somewhere to turn this off. might be called something like scrolling wallpaper or parallax scrolling or something like that. if that option is not there and you are forced to keep it like that, its just because the current wallpaper dimensions are larger than the screen size. if you pick a wallpaper specifically for your pixel phone, that issue should not persist.
I don't know about owner profile but it is definitely busted on a work profile. The preview looks good (using stock gallery to apply) but when you actually apply, it is zoomed in about 50% aka stretched. These are with images that match the exact screen pixel count as my phone pixel 7.
I was noticing this exact issue when I was creating wallpapers for my Pixel 7 a couple days ago. Made a bunch of photos the exact screen resolution for the lock screen (1080x2400) or wider ones for the home screen (2160x2400) and found they always previewed perfectly but zoomed in slightly when set. It did this on the stock launcher, Nova, and when set through Simple Gallery.
My fix ended up being to pad out the image 10% to 1188x2640 (needs 120 pixels extra top and bottom, 54 left and right) to fix the lock/single screen ones and oddly enough add the same amount of padding on the wide home screen scrolling wallpapers (final resolution 2268x2640) and then they end up fitting perfectly pixel for pixel. I assumed the wider ones would need to be 2376 wide at first as well but when looking at the edge I could see the border I added.
Once you know the trick then creating images to work for wallpapers isn't that hard but it really shouldn't require this at all, I don't recall this being a problem on my Pixel 3 I just switched from.
AdamBv1 Ok, but no one is creating wallpapers in 2268x2640 size, so I can't download wallpapers in this size and manually is hard to modify it while maintaining the same aspect ratio and not to stretch it ugly. I think this bug should be definitely resolved because it makes the user experience quite bad.
Cityscapes and Textures get 20 new backgrounds each, while there are 21 additions to Life. The two latter albums are going for a nature motif and are mostly light/wispy. Google has not changed the cover image for each collection, while the new wallpapers are not named or credited when you tap the info icon.
This Thursday is Earth Day, an annual event designed to push all of us as a society to help make the world a cleaner, more environmentally-friendly place. You can celebrate the occasion by doing your part in your community, whether by picking up trash along the street or keeping the lights off a little longer each day. No matter how you choose to help out, you can also take part by using one of these super weird new Earth Day-themed wallpapers from Google.
This version of macOS builds on Big Sur, bringing Shortcuts and a range of features that are also part of iOS and iPadOS 15. As of the first beta, Monterey does not include any new nature wallpapers as previous releases has.
As for the one that comes with Android 14, the process is rather simple and actually a little fun. While you are limited to certain themes and keywords -- you can't generate an image with your own words, there are enough options for near-endless choices, and even entering the exact same prompt twice in a row will create unique wallpapers.
You'll see the basic wallpaper options here, but you'll want to go beyond the preset offerings. Tap "More wallpapers." There's a "Create a Wallpaper" option at the top. Tap "AI wallpaper" under that.
Some wallpapers extend the interface of the phone to the entire screen, providing ambient information through subtle data visualizations. Others react to changes in the environment, or reflect usage patterns of the product. Some are metaphors for the operating system, some blossom as you reach for your phone, some sway with sound, or your hand, or the wind, some give you a sense of place in the world, and some are just plain fun.

Last month, Google celebrated its 25th birthday by dropping two beautiful new wallpapers via its Japanese website. And now it's upping the ante with another set of wallpapers on its US store, along with the addition of an adorable retro tote bag (for your phone).
The Google Japan website is offering two wallpapers aimed at Pixel users, along with 25% off discounts for various products including Google's Pixel phones and Nest cameras. To download the two wallpapers, both variations on the same design (one with lighter lines), scroll to the bottom of the page.
Google isn't the only tech brand to have offered celebratory wallpapers in recent months. This year, Apple dropped two stunning new designs to celebrate its first Indian retail stores. If you're inspired to create a wallpaper of your own, check out our guide on how to download Photoshop.

Since launching its Pixel Feature Drop in December 2019, Google has gifted Pixel owners with new features once every three months. The new Live Bloom wallpaper collection, which features photos of colorful flowers, was released with the Dec. 2022 Pixel Feature Drop. These live wallpapers also feature a 3D effect where the flowers appear to "shift and sway" as you tilt your device or swipe through home screens.
Unlike many new Pixel Feature Drop items, you won't find the Live Bloom wallpapers after updating Android on your device. Instead, you'll have to use Google's Pixel Live Wallpaper app to get these dazzling new backgrounds.
New wallpapers for Pixel devices are delivered via a Pixel Live Wallpaper app update rather than an operating system update. For the Live Bloom collection, you need at least version 2.0 (9355839) of the app on a Pixel 4a or newer with Android 12 or later. Tap the link below to update or install Pixel Live Wallpaper via the Google Play Store.
Now all that's left to do is to go to your home screen and try it out. Tilt your device or swipe through your home screens; The background should move around, reacting to your device's movement, just like other live wallpapers.
I like the "Wallpaper Motion Effect" that is available in Android Marshmallow, but I find that using it with a properly sized 1440x2560 image results in the image being zoomed-in somewhat, which means the image is no longer displayed at a 1:1 pixel-perfect ratio.
