Hey Hey Ararat Worms!

How are you doing? There was a huge silence and I wanted to break it down..

Actually every single day I remember our perfect experience and so proud of you guys..

I would like to share the latest news about our project with you.

As you know I am in Jaen, Spain now to continue my lab work with nematodes from Ararat. As we expected, there are highly diverse and many diferent species in our soil samples. I have already described 1/3 of nematodes of soils up to genus level and still can not believe! There are many primitive species which are derived from Marine enviroments including new species! Yes those crazy bastards are suprising me every day... Unfortunatelly there are no nematodes from Ice samples and the ones from 5000m high but it is normal..

Of course there are still plenty of work to do with it and I decided to extend my stay in Jaen until finishing my thesis.

I will inform you time to time as far as I get some interesting news.

Hope to visit you somewhere in Spain and waiting for you in Jaen. (Jaen has beautiful mountains too) So come over!

Great to receive a new mail from worms4ararat team!!!! It has been hard lately to track you! ;)

Jajaja impressive that we (you) found that many nematodes!!!! (have you looked for nematode's skeletons in the ice/dizzy water sample?? it had a hard journey back to you.. ;). 1/3 analysed?? tones of lab-works to do still!! ;)

I'm happy you are enjoying Jaen and extending you stay.. that means you could maybe come to Barcelona and go for a hike in the snowed Pyrenees.. what do you think?? We don't have +5000m mountains.. but you can get quite cold ambient here as well!! (and nice landscapes) ;)

Big big hug and hope to keep getting news about you and the nematodes (do we have to start thinking about names for the new species?? I'm up for it ;)

It's really nice hearing that you are doing so great! And also about the good results in your thesis.

I don't have any more holidays until Christmas, so let me know if you'll have a chance to visit Barcelona or close by.

Just came back from the Highlands here in Scotland!!

I am happy everything is working out well for you guys..

I hope for an early winter here to go nuts with crampons and axes :)

Guys,

Actually for this semester the time doesnt seem quite available to come there due to the thesis work and classes. But I will visit you guys for sure after January! So that we can arrange a hiking there and eat chocolates and Chorizos together again!!! ! Vuhuu!! :))

When I come I want to do some climbing and mountaineering in the pyrenees :).

Not sure when I have time though... it will be def. earliest in january... but I move to Sweden again so maybe even later..

Today I recieved one big pack filled with love! This is I couldn't be happier than this! I feel as the luckiest guy ever, since I have all of you.

You should know, this backpack will always with me and I will always carry our memories with it! I have no words...
