The boys and I are visiting my family. The trip started in Gallup and then we headed to Cortez to spend time with my brothers family. We had a little caravan on the road...
Mom was in the lead pulling Dad's motorcycle (he had to go to Angel Fire for a conference... perfect bike ride apparently)...

I was in the middle - Mom & Dad tried awfully hard to get me to leave my car in Gallup, but I think I've become a little too independent to be "afoot". Also, it has been making strange noises and my brother and his buddies pulled it all apart today to see if they could find the cause. I find it frightening that the top four "Cash for Clunker" cars are all Ford Explorers, just different year models. Lovely...
I took this picture on the Hi-way between Gallup and Shiprock... you can see the tail of our caravan in my mirror - my dad taking a propane delivery truck to the dealership in Farmington for service.

The kids have had a lot of fun with my nephew, Cole. They have been SO good with him. Of course, he thinks he is as big as they are. He is tougher to be sure. :)

Cole enjoying his tricycle - "Bike Mine"

Cole loves Papa's bike as much as my boys always have. He was sitting in the back seat saying "bye".

Papa finally felt sorry enough for him that he gave him his very first ride on Papa's bike. Papa does have a childs helmet, but he didn't have it with him (and I think it might still be too big for Cole) so he drove real slow around the yard of the company... but as far as Cole was concerned it may as well have been around the state, he thought it was GREAT!

Uncle Nathan found a couple of helpers with the animals. The boys begged to help him feed the animals. He didn't object. Here is Bryce feeding one of the pigs.

They were so excited when they started feeding, I didn't have my camera ready to catch them feeding the horses... but here is the results - Baby and Sampson enjoying their dinner.

Observing Uncle Nathan watering the pigs.

Cole posing with his tools (which have gone with him everywhere we've been... he is too cute).

Austin watering one of the pigs.

Cole sitting on Sampson. Sampson has a hurt leg right now so Cole is the only one light enough to be on him.
It has been rather hot and dry since we've been here - like 100+ degrees... very unusual for this part of the country. There is a wild fire in the mountain just North of town. Rain would be nice (without lightening preferrably - lightening is what started the current wild fire).
Tomorrow we will head to Durango for a few days.
