meanwhile it is snowing back home.  Life is so unfair!

Today is our last full day in Cabo and we plan to soak up as much sunshine as possible!  Yesterday we went to town for a couple of hours and shopped a little and snacked a little, but mostly enjoyed the beauty that surrounds us!  During siesta time, all of the shops closed so we stopped to have a mid-afternoon snack at a sea-side restaurant.  While we were watching the boats come in and out of the marina a sea lion suddenly popped its head up and, we think, was trying to entertain us for food.  We, however, did not have any food that we thought we be good for him so we did not feed him but we did enjoy the entertainment just the same.
We have also seen many whales breeching and splashing from our balcony.  We are told that Cabo is expecting somewhere around 18,000 whales this year because they have a high krill population right now.  The resort folks have told us that during high tide the whales will come right up to the shore line to scratch their bellies on the rocks to remove barnicals (February / March).  If you're looking for a get away - that would be an awesome to come!
Below are a few shots that I've taken in the past few days.

View from the marina...

Sunset on the beach.

Can't get enough of the sunset!

My footprints in the sand.

The beach is not swimmable due to a strong undercurrent so letting the waves wash over your feet is about as good as it gets.  Although the sand tends to shift under the water and it feels like the wave might take me with it. It is just another reminder of God's handiwork.  Which reminds me - we met a man yesterday that has lived here for 32 years.  We asked him if he enjoys whale season and getting to see the migration of the whales.  He said he is so used to them he doesn't even notice them anymore.  I hope I am never so comfortable in my surroundings that I fail to notice something so glorious.

My hope for you today is that you will find something to marvel at no matter where you are.

Love to all!
Donna
