Gentlemen,

Results are up and should be correct now: https://sites.google.com/site/plainofbattle/home/closing

First of all congratulations to the Emerald Empire for their earned
victory!

Then I'd like to thank the Commanders Claus, Schindbua, Jurisch and
the Dog for their nice work. Without them this would not have worked!

And of course thanks to all players that participated actively. It was
a pleasure to organise this campaign and to watch it coming to life (a
pity that the Black Market was not activated in time).
I hope you all had fun being a part of it. If there is enough response
and interest I could imagine to do another campaign in 2011.

Feedback and ideas welcome.

Greetings,
spiritusXmachina

P.S.: By the way I also wanted to point out the upcoming EuroGT in
Karlsruhe (march 2011) this time organised by Jurisch. It is known to
be an Empire-Event (not Mighty Empires but similar) bringing together
various specialist games (Warmaster, Mortheim, sometimes Men o War and
even WH Fantasy Battle! ;)) for some relaxed games (GT stands for Get
Together)! It would be very nice to meet some virtual nicks in person
there (which was the reason EuroGT was invented in the first place).

great campaign, gave us all in our group a reason for fighting our games and had some great background stories, plus a lot of friendly banter, look forward to playing in next campaign, maybe with a new army as i have started a dogs of war army.

also many thanks to my fellow team mates on empire Yellow, well done guys.

Thanks Gerald for all the work you did. It was a pleasure!
It made a lot of fun playing several games - and have a reason
(deadline) at home why the game needs to be done within the night (as
my match versus Dominik)

See you on the EuroGT

Greetings,

I wanna thank god, and my familiy for the osc... oh, damn, wrong
place.

Thanks to Gerald for the great organisation.
congratulations to yellow for their win. But the last round wasn´t
planed that way by winning 5:1 & 4:1 against us.
Thanks to my fellows, as they did a well done job.
With a bit more luck (round 4 "all or nothing") we also could have
played for the win, but thats the game.

My feedback is:
ALLOW magic items; its very hard for me and my fellows to play DE
without the sceptre;
And we lost 2 games because of this.

cheers stefan

Thanks to Gerald.
Now I have to remember the rules to some other games.
Roll on 2011.
To all my opponents, "You haven't heard the last of me..."

Thanks to spiritusXmachina and to everyone else for playing.

I too would like Magic Items from the start.

Currently a Wizards Tower costs 2 EP and can only be built on a Mine
so a River and Mountain hex is also required.

But as an alternative let the Wizards Tower be built anywhere and only
cost 1 EP. (so with out the Mine as a prerequisite.) This is still
restrictive because a Castle/City cannot be built on the same hex.

Thanks for the organisation and thanks for the nice games.

I would prefer the wizards tower to be like in our austrian campaign a
while ago, where it was hidden on a special tile (close proximity of
the empires capitals) and didnt cost the extra EP. Maybe a scenario
could be used for it, as its with the tavern.

playing all the games we played without any magic items was interesting!, some magic spells ie Araby are very powerful while my own ability of a high elf gets to re-roll any failed rolls except on a 1 can be game changing, making the wizards towers more accessible would be a good thing for almost all races and gets my vote.

I want to thank the Jury, the academy, the guys that still want to
play against me, my wife, my children, especially my parents as
without them I would not be here, God for giving me hands to roll the
dice......etc......wrong speach ?

Well ... it were fund to do this in and with a big group of people
spread all over the world.

I agree with comments that some armies had advantages/disatvantages
with the absence of magic items but on the other hand it were also fun
to play without them......there are some really nasty combinations
possible.

I hope to meet some of you at the Euro GT next year.

Cheers

First of all, thanks to all of you for the effort of making this
campaing possible, the webpage, the battles and keep the torch of
warmaster live!

Then Congratulation to all the Emerald Empire group!!

special thanks to Schindbua, my evil black WarMaster, and to Enbaji my
great red opponent in this campaign.

As an personal impresion, I feel the rules are great as they are. I
could say Perfect. (posiblity of having magic items but not always,
flexible points values, the map, asigning campaing points, the fluff
stories, the manner of handle the groups by the WarMasters, GREAT)

so fun and thanks again
